SERVICE FOCUS: IHT Planning – Maximising Your Wealth, Minimising Your Tax

Inheritance Tax Planning is a key service within our Private Client portfolio. Forward planning around IHT can reduce the taxes you pay, so maximising your income and protecting the wealth that rightly belongs to you and your family.

Your estate will owe tax at 40% on anything above the £325,000 inheritance tax threshold when you die (or 36% if you leave at least 10% to a charity) – excluding the ‘main residence’ allowance.

Introduced in the 2017/18 tax year, the additional main-residence allowance is technically called the ‘residence nil rate band’ or ‘RNRB’. It’s only valid on a main residence and where the recipient of a home is a direct descendant (classed as children, step-children and grandchildren).

At Fairtax, we take every care to ensure we represent you diligently, we will fully analyse your case and look at ways of minimising your IHT liability within the legal parameters and ensuring full compliance.

You will be assigned a personal IHT specialist who will be your primary single contact, dealing with the full remit of your business, we are able to deal with the most complex IHT so it doesn’t matter what value or the number of properties or locations, we have the capabilities to handle your IHT business with a successful outcome.
